Kelp + Rockweed Sea Greens

Our sea greens are a blend of locally gathered kelp and rockweed species, sourced from the western shores of Prince Edward Island.

These sea plants are naturally cast ashore by the tides and storms, then gathered by local harvesters using a traditional Island method that has been passed down through generations.

Along PEI’s western shores, seaweed has long been gathered using draft horses to bring plants ashore. This harvesting tradition remains part of the Island’s coastal heritage today.

We source from local harvesters who continue this traditional practice, keeping our sea greens close to the waters where they grew and to the Island communities that have long worked along these shores.

Our sea greens are gently dehydrated at low temperatures to preserve nutrients and natural flavour. By reducing the water activity to a level where bacteria, yeast, and mold cannot grow, we ensure a safe, shelf-stable product without the need for preservatives or additives.
